Taking their operation to the next level, Girard-Perregaux has secured the services of watchmaker Dominique Loiseau as part of their arsenal.
The appointment was made in late 2011, and CEO Michele Sofisti told press that the move was essential for the continued development of Girard-Perregaux’s portfolio.
“Dominique was always one of the greatest watch inventors in Switzerland. I appreciate him not only as an inventor, but as a person. This is a great opportunity for Girard-Perregaux to [continue to] create incredibly complicated movements [going forward].”
“We’re going to work together, and I’m sure that in a few months we will see something extraordinary coming out of his [Loiseau’s] mind. We are not in a hurry, we just want to bring out something that can add to the history of the brand,” Sofisti added.
Mr. Loiseau is regarded as one of the finest watchmakers in the entire world, and his latest design, the Loiseau lf4, contains eight patents and is the most complicated automatic watch in the industry.
