Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2014 at NYFW

Once again, Tommy Hilfiger managed to make a major splash in the fashion industry.
His Spring 2014 runway was turned into a boardwalk with sand, two surfboards, and lifeguard chairs. The theme was a never-ending summer, and transformed NYFW into a beach.
With sounds of waves and Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ “Californication” playing, warm-weather ensembles were sent down the runway. Cutout swimsuits, short skirts, and flirty shorts were loud in colors of tangerine, aqua and red. Other standout looks included basketball jerseys and military jackets — the perfect cover-up for a beach day.
A new form of blue skinny jeans hit the catwalk, which Hilfiger refers to as, “scuba jeans with a surf/turf hybrid.” Models ditched purses for beach bags and backpacks that complemented laceless wedge sneakers.
