Tom Ford’s Spring 2014 RTW presentation oozed sex appeal … more so than usual.
Models sauntered down a runway ridden with mirrors in an array of seductive ensembles created specifically for “strong, powerful women.”
According to WWD, Ford was inspired by the paintings of Mark Bradford and José Parlá, and the underlying influence was apparent by way of chic biker jackets boasting quilted chevron patterns, dresses that resembled masterful mosaic creations, and power suits equipped with epaulettes and belted detailing.
Some graced the catwalk in corset-like shoes with ties so high, we’re not sure where one end started and the other began. The offering was saturated with a neutral color palette — black, white and beige — with pops of coral throughout.
