If there was ever a collection made entirely for Kate Middleton (which, let’s be real, isn’t too far off), this is it. Jenny Packham debuted a Spring 2014 line fit for a princess, quite literally.
Packham is one of Middleton’s favorite designers, and it’s clear why. She’s able to create sophisticated daywear with an understated elegance, and timeless eveningwear that’ll get you noticed for all the right reasons. Without ever revealing too much skin, Packham’s designs are beautifully captivating.
Her Spring 2014 collection started out with a splash of color, as she’s not one to shy away from a strong palette. Yellow dresses embellished with crystals and sequence opened the show, and quickly transitioned into blue and neutral ensembles. Loose fitting pants, blouses with intricate necklines, playful frocks and floor-length rompers were all present, and made from lightweight fabric that swayed perfectly down the runway.
Yet, what we love most about the range is Packham’s ability to accentuate a small waist in good taste, which Kate Middleton does so well. Almost every design drew attention to the waistline, creating feminine silhouettes with an effortless attitude.
