Sarah Burton Unveils Alexander McQueen RTW Fall 2013
Against the backdrop of the Opera Comique, creative director Sarah Burton debuted Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2013 range.
The prolific designer opted for a Catholic theme, specifically “the high church.” Her ten new looks were fit for royalty.
Burton’s notes included flavors from “communion gowns to cardinals’ robes.” There was even a Swiss Guard mixed in for good measure.
Highlights included pear-encrusted accents, cutaway habits, exquisite organdy lace, and gold detailing. Click through the slides for a look at the collection.
