Following the ‘go big or go home’ philosophy, Salvatore Ferragamo decided to rent out The Louvre Museum in Paris, France to unveil the Resort 2013 lineup.

Including a 460-foot catwalk, the affair was one for the history books, as fashionistas and celebrities alike turned out to see the fabulous new looks.

Ferruccio Ferragamo, the company’s chairman told press, "Endless creativity, an innovative aesthetic, artisanal roots and groundbreaking research have always characterized the Italian genius, as embodied by Leonardo da Vinci, that we have always appreciated."

“It’s good for us to come to France, which is a very competitive market, to show we are a major company. After the IPO, we have more confidence in ourselves,” noted CEO Michele Norsa.

As for the clothes, Ferragamo tended towards painstaking attention to detail, including lace, knotting, drawstrings, and grommets, along with snake prints, micro studs, and structured tailoring.
