You Oughta Know: Burgundy Dubbed ‘It’ Color for the Upcoming Fall Season
Forecasting the fashion for new and impending seasons is oh, so exciting, and this fall designers have given us a glorious glimpse of what's to come so that we can ready our fashion radars!
We can expect the majority of pieces to be inspired by masculine silhouettes and military-esque garb. Textures will be sleek, sophisticated and sexy, comprising of two of our ultimate favs – leather and tweed. Lastly, the color palette for autumn will be dark; consisting of rich, sultry hues such as black, navy blue and the one everyone in the fashion realm is buzzing about – burgundy.
During the Autumn/Winter 2012 fashion weeks, design houses from around the globe debuted their plum pieces on the catwalk, featuring stunning evening wear to trendy everyday getups.
This seductive, eye-catching color proved to be not only timeless and classy looking, but also complimentary against every skin tone and mega-slimming - um, we’re sold!
