The modeling industry has been long linked to drugs and sex, but Jimmy Sommers, founder of hipster brand Wildfox, just took it to a whole new level.
According to the New York Daily News, aspiring model Meghan Chereek filed a complaint against Sommers on the grounds that he offered her a modeling contract in exchange for sex. Making matters worse, Chereek was only 17 when the allegations occurred, classifying her as a minor.
Chereek claimed that Sommers told her “nothing is free,” including the spare room he provided her in his LA home. He now faces charges of unlawful sex with a minor, unlawful oral sex with a minor, gender violence, among others.
The Daily News reported the aspiring model is seeking unspecified damages for mental and emotional suffering, injuries, trauma, counseling and therapy expenses, shame, humiliation and indignity, and future therapy expenses.
If these allegations prove to be true, we wonder if Olivia Munn, Vanessa Hudgens and Alessandra Ambrosio — all avid fans of the brand — will still sport Wildfox’s famous statement T’s.
