Karl Lagerfeld Under Fire for Offensive Remarks Towards Curvy Women

It was only a matter of time before Karl Lagerfeld’s controversial comments got him into serious trouble.
A group named Je Suis Belle, Ronde, Sexy Et Je M'Assume — translation: "I'm beautiful, round, sexy and OK with it" — has filed legal action against the Chanel mastermind in France over his alleged fat-isms.
Lagerfeld once said “[Adele is] a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face.” More shockingly, he stated in another interview, “no one wants to see curvy women.” Seriously, dude?
The French group’s president, Betty Aubriere, has had enough of Karl’s offense opinions and plans to hold the icon accountable for his "defamatory and discriminatory comments.”
"We're fed up. Many young girls are insecure and hearing such comments is terrible for them," said Aubriere. "Today it's him who insults us and tomorrow who will it be?"
The hope is that the fire under Lagerfeld will spark debate and conversation on a broader scale about size prejudice in the fashion industry. Only time will tell.
