This Just In: Yves Saint Laurent is Getting a Name Change
Given the significance of a moniker, it’s intriguing that the famed French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent is gunning for a new nametag.
According to a report, Hedi Slimane has decided to rename the label Saint Laurent Paris as part of the massive and far-reaching makeover.
They’ll still be keeping the YSL logo, and the new name is expected to take effect during the Spring 2013 season.
All in all, it seems Slimane is going all out since taking over from Stefano Pilati as creative director. YSL stated that Hedi would have “total creative responsibility for the brand image and all its collections.”
