Fashion Faceoff: Stripes vs. Polka Dots
There are a slew of patterns, old and new, that saturated the style scene this season.
Floral, chevron and animal print clothing hang proudly in our not-so-Carrie Bradshaw-sized closets. However, due to their timelessness and air of sophistication, there are two particular designs that rein supreme above them all – stripes and polka dots.
Both are extremely sharp and refined, yet totally fashionably unique in their own right as well. Stripes exude a very laid-back and nautical vibe, while polka dots encompass all things feminine and dainty.
The dotty design is very figure-friendly and versatile on a number of shapes. Where as vertical and lateral prints take a little more strategic planning in the wear department, as this style can widen the silhouette. So, cinching and other thinning actions are sometimes necessary.
So, in this fashion faceoff, which print do you prefer? Stripes? Polka Dots? Oy vey, how does a gal choose?
