Looking to boost their fourth quarter sales beyond past records, eBay has enlisted a bunch of designers for a limited edition gift collection.

The online auction giant signed Chris Benz, Fallon, Jonathan Adler, Ruffian, Steven Alan, Billy Reid, and Tibi for the aptly named eBay Holiday Collective.

According to a report, the new initiative will include men’s and women’s apparel along with jewelry, travel, electronics, and home decor.

In the past, eBay has teamed up with folks such as Derek Lam, Alexander Wang, Narciso Rodriguez, and Rebecca Minkoff for various projects, but this new undertaking is unprecedented for the company.

Robert Burke, a leading consultant, explained, “Designers realize that the retailers need unique product so they are much more open to doing that. Multitasking is something designers have gotten used to. I suspect you will be hearing things in the next few weeks.”

And Jeff Somers, eBay’s GM of fashion noted, “The eBay Holiday Collective marks another milestone for eBay in the fashion category. Similar to the recently announced Neiman’s and Target and Nordstrom and Topshop collaborations, our partnerships are another sign of the retail revolution under way. As consumers seek seamless, multichannel, anytime-anywhere shopping, creative collaborations point to the future of commerce. Our focus is on enabling commerce, and we’re achieving that by serving as a partner to retailers of all sizes.”
