Certainly a poolside fav, this figure-flaunting design turned the ripe age of 66 yesterday (June 5)!
Introduced to the world by French designer, Louis Réard, on July 5, 1946 at a swimming pool in Paris, the suit was first worn by women with only a sliver of midriff showing.
These days, the designs are not so modest, which is why most of us spend hours at the gym perfecting our midsections to be worthy of such attire - oy vey!
