Banana Republic: Virgin Airlines Latest Outfitter
It’s a match made in retro heaven- Banana Republic is joining forces with Virgin Airlines for some groovy new flight crew duds.
And given the recent resurgence of 1960s-era goodness, the uniforms resemble something out of the “Pan Am”/ “Mad Men” genre.
Creative Director Simon Kneen told press, "We referenced the time when onboard style and sophistication was of utmost importance and designed a modern interpretation that incorporates aviation details and celebrates Virgin America's signature style."
Perhaps the best part of all is the fact that consumers can get their hands on the gear as well, as everything will be available for sale in Virgin’s Red Shop and in select BR retail outlets.
