Halloween is just around the corner, but if you don’t have a costume already, don’t fret.
There are plenty of ways to show off your holiday spirit. We gathered six expert tips so you can rest assure with your choice of disguise.
Keep it versatile. Spending money on something we'll probably never wear again makes us all uneasy. Shop for a piece you can use again, or take from your own closet. Corsets can be made into multiple costumes like a devil or a cat, while a leather jacket and leggings can make for one haute biker chick.
Buy it early. Don’t wait until last minute if you plan on purchasing an outfit. Costumes are usually limited in supplies and when they’re gone – they’re gone!
Pay attention to the details. It’s happened to all of us – what we thought we were getting, isn’t what we got. Find out what all is included, the type of fabric and if you're ordering online know the return policy.
A little goes a long way. If dressing up isn’t your thing, add a small touch to your normal night-out ensemble. Get creative and use accessories for your costume. Cat ears are all you need or head over to Urban Outfitters for a statement Halloween t-shirt.
Be trendy. Thanks to recent popular films, television shows, and celebrities, it’s easy to find a theme for your getup. The Great Gatsby makes a great couple outfit, while the hit series Orange is the New Black is a quick and easy look to assemble.
Bare it creatively. While you can share some sexy skin on the holiday, there are other ways to expose your curves. Try a skintight jumpsuit or if you really want to turn heads get artistic with body paint.
