Lady Gaga Hosts Fame Fragrance Launch Party at the Guggenheim
She never does anything on a small scale, and last night (September 13) Lady Gaga pulled out all the stops to launch her much-anticipated Fame perfume.
The “Bad Romance” songstress rented out the Guggenheim Museum in New York City for the star-studded affair and got all gussied up to greet her celebrity guests.
Among the A-listers mingling around the Guggenheim were Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Jessica Stam, and the ever-eccentric Yoko Ono, to whom Gaga paid special attention.
This afternoon (September 14) Gaga will make a personal appearance at Macy’s Herald Square, and it’s going to be quite the shindig.
She told press, “When they get there, there’s going to be a lovely black ice cream-inspired ice cream party for them. I’m going to hang out with them and have sundaes, I’ll show them the perfume and talk to them… This is really nice because I never get to see my fans, and I definitely miss the fans in the U.S. so much.”
Gaga also shared that she had her hand in every phase of the new eau de parfum- “I was surprised at how surprised [Coty, her fragrance licensee] was at how involved I was. They were surprised by the attention to detail. I wanted samples of everything. I bathed, ate and know everything about this. They had a problem with the cap at one point, and I almost called the whole thing off. Because I don’t give a s--t about a perfume that is not good — especially with my name on it, for God’s sake! Take it off the shelf! I don’t need your money! I’m going to put all the money I’m going to make from this perfume into my show and the Born This Way Foundation and all the things I love to do.”
