Replay's Eco-Friendly Capsule Collection
There is a movement in the denim realm to move towards more eco-friendly means of producing product, and Replay is all about reducing wear and tear on the environment.
The Italian denim manufacturer has launched a capsule collection that utilizes a process called Laser Wash to make their jeans look vintage while keeping Mother Earth in mind.
Fashion Box CEO Matteo Sinigaglia explained, “It’s quite simply a laser machine.” And that machine helps the medium and dark washes achieve a worn look without excessive use of water or chemicals.
“It’s the company’s philosophy. We make products that we like and that we are proud of. We didn’t really focus on the marketing. We wanted to limit the damage we were doing, and of course if you communicate that you are using these eco-friendly techniques, it can influence some customers’ purchases.”
