With so many killer denim companies out there, it takes something special to stand out. And Kuyichi is taking the eco-friendly route to a new level.
The Dutch jeans label from Haarlem has announced they’ll bump the organic fabric content of their products from 72% to 97%, a major step towards total sustainability.
Kuyichi Chief Executive Officer Leo Cantagalli proudly reported, “So we’re almost 100 percent organic now.”
They’re also looking into ways of conserving water and other natural resources while still making cutting edge contributions to the style of their jeans.
Cantagalli added, “Most of the well-known fabric suppliers have research departments for sustainable materials by now. And manufacturers are renewing their laundries in buying new technology. They are taking initiative and [conducting] research on how to contribute to clean fashion. It transports our message. We are a fashionable brand first, but we’re also sustainable.”
