Try this Summer-Worthy DIY: A Trendy Racerback Tank Top!
Ever wonder what to do with those over-stretched, loose T-shirts that are just taking up space in your closet?
Well, wonder no more! We have a nifty (and very easy) DIY project you can do at home to create a trendy racerback tank top.
We love this style for summer because of its flowy, breezy nature. It pairs perfectly with a pair of vintage-looking cutoffs or a flirty maxi skirt.
So, before you go throwing those old tees into the ‘Ditch’ pile, think again – with a cut here and a snip there, you can breath new life into an old favorite!
What you’ll need:
- A t-shirt
- A pair of scissors
- Ribbons or any other tie you’d like such as a leather strip, a barrette, etc…
How to:
- Draw out where you want to cut on the t-shirt. You’ll want to cut around the seams of the arm holes, the neckline and a half moon shape on the front and back of the shirt to give it a drappy, cropped feel.
- Join the straps in the back with a ribbon, a leather tie – whatever accessory of your choosing!
