You’ve brushed up on your studies, refined your wardrobe and bought every knickknack that could possibly spruce up a dorm room. However, there’s one more thing that needs a back-to-school upgrade — your skin.
Celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas has two ways to whip your complexion into shape, just in time for Rush Week. The Triple Crown Facial is a treatment that requires a trip to her namesake spa, Joanna Vargas Salon. Vargas says this popular treatment will instantly re-define your features. To see its benefits, just look at Ashley Greene, Karlie Kloss or Emma Stone — all of whom have been pampered with the procedure.
If you can't afford a trip to the salon, she has an at-home solution: The All Clear Facial. Its ingredients work together to lend your face an overall more youthful glow. “The yogurt is anti-inflammatory and the lactic acid peels. The strawberry tightens the pores, and the almond powder is a gentle scrub to get the pores nice and clean.” She suggests you pay extra attention to your t-zone, “where it tends to be oilier and [contains] the most blackheads.”
Here's how to make it at home:
What you’ll need:
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup mashed strawberry
- 1/2 cup almond powder
- Apple cider vinegar
- Cotton balls
- First, rub a cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar on the areas that are breaking out or needs treatment. (This helps with the detoxification process)
- Apply the yogurt, almond powder, mashed strawberry mixture to your entire face, and let it sit for 15 minutes.
Vargas suggests you use this mask twice a week.
