Summer is the perfect time to take special notice of your skin. Whether you're planning for a day at the beach, a night on the town or your BFF's wedding, a glowing outer layer is definitely your best accessory.
While pampering your dermis may have been costly and time consuming in the past - we here at DIY have rounded up a few ways to get your skin looking better and brighter than ever - with minimal effort! You're welcome.
Now where can you whip up such a magical potion? Simply hit up your kitchen.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
1/2 cup slightly ripened papaya cut into small pieces
1 teaspoon plain yogurt
1 teaspoon honey
Take the papaya, honey and plain yogurt and mix together using a food processor. Once smooth and creamy, apply the mask onto your face (free of makeup and moisturizer). Let sit for 10 minutes, then rinse clean.
So just why does this quick fix mask make your skin shine bright? Papaya is a great source of Vitamin A, which acts as an anti-oxidant, and papain, which works to break down dead skin cells. Additionally, honey softens skin with its natural moisturizing qualities. Moral of the story: This DIY mask is a sure-fire way to blissfully brighten you kisser during the sunny summer season. Enjoy!
Blend ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Apply to clean skin using fingers; leave on for 8 to 10 minutes. Rinse off using cool water and pat dry. Finish by applying a gentle moisturizer.
