Red Carpet Report: Best & Worst Dressed at the 2013 People's Choice Awards!
Last night (January 9) during the 2013 People’s Choice Awards, a slew of our favorite celebs accepted well-deserved awards for performances in some of our favorite flicks over the past year — with the "Hunger Games" cleaning house!
However, now it’s our turn to pick the winners of the night — fashionably speaking, of course. We scanned the red carpet for looks we absolutely loved, and some that, well, we’d like to forget. From Taylor Swift’s jaw-dropping gown to Katy Perry’s frumpy-looking frock, we pulled together 10 ensembles — both good and bad — worthy of special mention.
Best Dressed
Taylor Swift: Revenge is a dish best served hot and WOW, did the country superstar look every bit of the word at last night. She showed off her assets in a white, low-cut Ralph Lauren gown, and accessorized with striking turquoise drop-earrings. Take that, Harry Styles.
Lea Michele: The "Glee" starlet rocked a super sexy hot pink Elie Saab mini dress with sky-high heels to show off her gorgeous gams. With a body-hugging silhouette and sheer detailing, this frock left little to the imagination — but we’re sure BF Cory Monteith didn’t mind.
Jennifer Lawrence: The 22-year-old actress owned her old-Hollywood glam look in a Valentino Couture dress equipped with sexy sheer detailing. She paired the look with lovely Nicholas Kirkwood pumps and swanky Cartier accessories.
Kaley Cuoco: She’s the hostess with the mostest, and last night “The Big Bang Theory” chick looked sexy, yet sweet in a pale pink Christian Siriano tea-length frock. The dress boasted a dramatic neckline, which was covered by sheer overlay. Additionally, the blonde bombshell opted for jewelry by Dana Rebecca Designs and flirty satin pumps.
Worst Dressed
Jennifer Aniston: Her body can do no wrong, but her choice of frock, well, that's another story. Aniston dressed in a Dior sheath, Fred Leighton jewels and Tom Ford shoes — all of which we totally loved, but think would have been better suited on a younger starlet.
Julianne Hough: The former "DWTS" stunner's makeup was a big hit on the red carpet; however, her Tony Ward Couture dress has us thinking more tea party than top honors. Sigh.
Katy Perry: Usually a shoe-in for our best dressed list, the "Part of Me" singer's mom-like Valentino garb landed her amongst the worst this time around. Some positives? Her killer Jimmy Choo heels and Sylva & Cie earrings were both hits.
Olivia Munn: Maybe modesty isn't the best policy for this "Newsroom" knockout. The conservative monochromatic Carolina Herrera wasn't something we expected from the usually über-sexy actress, and left us less than sartorially satisfied.
Paris Hilton Just call her Little Bow ... Paris. In our opinion, this short blue-and-green-toned Mary Katrantzou sheath should have never made it its way onto the red carpet.
