She was one of the top style icons of her time, and Princess Diana left behind a massive wardrobe after her untimely death in 1997.
And now the late Royal’s David and Elizabeth Emanuel-designed ball gown will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Kerry Taylor Auctions in London will handle the sale, which is expected to bring in anywhere from $50,000 to $130,000 when all is said and done.
A statement on the house’s website explains, “It is perhaps one of the most ornate, romantic of all her gowns. The dress has a pretty, fairy-tale princess feel to it – with its opulent, shimmering gold panels, jewel-like rhinestones and pearl adornments. Importantly this is a dress that was not specially designed for the Princess but one she chose herself from an existing collection and one she chose to wear repeatedly.”
