Rumor has it, the model-turning-actress was just cast for a leading role in “The Face of an Angel,” a film based in part off the infamous Amanda Knox story.
Before you get your hopes up, it’s unlikely the 21-year-old will be casted as Amanda herself. A source revealed to the UK’s Mirror, “It doesn’t look like Cara will be playing Foxy Knoxy but she will have a major role, as the director wants to focus on events surrounding the trial and the people whose lives have been affected by it.”
For those who managed to miss the six-year saga, in 2007 Amanda Knox and her Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were charged with the murder of Meredith Kercher, a 21-year-old British student studying abroad. Amanda was initially found guilty of the crime, but in a 2011 retrial, the conviction was overturned. (Yeah … it’s going to be a good movie.)
Delevigne is no newbie to the big screen — she currently has three films underway, including “London Fields” with Billy Bob Thorton. According to the source, she soon hopes to cement her career in Hollywood.
“She has been thinking about relocating there and, with big film offers coming in, it’s looking likely movies will soon be Cara’s main focus.”
