Zac Posen Goes Contemporary with New Collection
Looking to expand his reach into the advanced contemporary marketplace, Zac Posen has announced a brand new range called Zac Zac Posen.
President Jillian Sinel told WWD that the new collection has been conceptualized to compete with labels such as M Missoni, Red Valentino, and Tory Burch.
Furthermore, Zac Zac Posen will have a distinct flavor, described as “contemporary luxury or maybe gold range,” according to Sinel.
Posen shared that he got the idea for the line while working with Z Spoke. . “In building into such strict price requirements for Z Spoke, we started to learn that with a slightly higher price point, you can get a lot more out of the product. You can get a level of fabric quality that’s a lot nicer, and it enables it to expand into evening.”
