RiRi Gets the Custom Treatment from Givenchy
She never does anything halfway, and Rihanna enlisted Givenchy to give her Diamonds World Tour that special added visual pop.
The “We Found Love” songstress donned a custom Givenchy couture wardrobe when she kicked off her first show last Friday night, including a floor-sweeping ruffled silk crepe cape with an embroidered collar.
Givenchy costumer Riccardo Tisci described the ornate and gorgeous getup as a tip of the hat to “female empowerment and urban haute couture elegance.”
“Rihanna represents what young and amazing means today. She is punk and talented. She offers intelligence, energy and pure beauty. She is the face of her generation,” he explained.
