We're just days away from the fall season, but that doesn't mean we can't spring forward into warm-weather beauty trends right now.
From smoldering eyes and vampy lips to face-framing hair — our team of editors scoured New York Fashion Week's Lincoln Center for the statement styles you need to know. Forget waiting around for the vernal equinox to arrive! Get a sneak peek of the season's four most sizzling looks below.
Ladies, put down the tweezers! Bold brows are back — in case you ever thought they left. Full arches proved to be a hit on the runways one again, with bushy-browed looks seen everywhere from Richard Chai to Nicole Miller. Not sure you can forgo your bi-weekly wax? Ease into a thicker style by lightly filling in your whispies with a kit like Benefit's Brow Zings or a hue-enhancer such as Stila's Stay All Day Waterproof Color.
Speaking of an au natural appearance, fresh faces were all the rage this show season. Whether it was the dewy complexions of models at Victoria Beckham, Thakoon and Alexander Wang or the barely-there foundation at Desigual, Calvin Klein, or Proenza Schouler, minimalist flesh was in. Get the look by applying NARS Sheer Glow Foundation and following our step-by-step here.
Not sure about the nearly-naked cosmetic look? Don't fret! Makeup artists satisfied the craving for vibrant colors with hints of highly-pigmented hues on the both eyes and lips. Kissers were painted variations of orange on catwalk after catwalk. We spotted the punchy-toned puckers on Rag & Bone, Prabal Gurung, DKNY and Marissa Webb, too. The best way to achieve a bright bite? Use Revlon’s upcoming Super Lustrous Lipstick in Carnival and ColorBurst Matte Balm in Mischievous.
When it came to eyes, blue shadow reigned supreme at Marc by Marc Jacobs, Zang Toi and Badgley Mischka. Interested in an icy-imitation? Try a midnight blue shadow from Shisiedo or opt for MAC Pigment in Blue Brown for something a bit more saturated.
Wondering how you'll manage your mane this spring? It's not much of a de-part-ure from our current coifs. Middle parts will again be huge in 2014 — largely due to the styling seen at Richard Chai Love, BCBGMAXAZRIA and Rag & Bone. To recreate the haute hair trend, simply use a leave-in conditioner, untangle with a wide-toothed comb and split your tresses straight down the center.
