It’s no secret that cosmetics companies tend to exaggerate a bit in their advertisements, but Maybelline is getting hit with a lawsuit from some disgruntled customers.

According to the The Wall Street Journal's Law Blog, a group of consumers are suing the company over their “misleading, inaccurate, and deceptive” claims regarding their Super Stay 10HR Stain Gloss and Super Stay 14 HR Lipstick.

The lawsuit states, “Maybelline overstates and misrepresent the staying power of its Super Stay products as a means to induce consumers to purchase the product.”

As a result, the complainants are seeking to find other disappointed buyers in order to make their case into a class action suit in Michigan, New Jersey, and New York.
